Kathmandu – July 28, 2025
Nepal’s football community rejoiced as the U-12 and U-14 teams representing AG10 Football Academy, Goals Football Academy, and Nepal Football Academy returned home after making history at the Dana Cup 2025 in Denmark. The U-14 team brought home the championship title in the B category, marking a proud and unforgettable moment for Nepali football.

The teams were greeted with a grand welcome by their proud parents and supporters, whose enthusiastic cheers and heartfelt celebrations underscored the significance of this achievement. The emotional homecoming was a testament to the strong community support behind the young athletes.

To honor this remarkable achievement, the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) organized a special felicitation ceremony at its headquarters in Satdobato. The event was attended by ANFA officials, coaches, players, academy representatives, media, and proud parents who came together to celebrate the young champions.

“This is a proud moment not just for the academies involved, but for the entire nation. These boys have shown the world the passion, discipline, and talent of Nepali football,” said an ANFA official during the event.

The players were honored with certificates, medals, and mementos, while coaches and academy staff were also recognized for their dedication and leadership. The atmosphere was filled with pride, cheers, and inspiration as the players shared their experiences from the tournament.

“Winning the Dana Cup is a dream come true. We gave our best, and the support from our coaches, families, and country made it possible,” said one of the U-14 team captains.

“We’re grateful to ANFA for acknowledging the efforts of our players. This kind of recognition motivates both players and academies to keep pushing forward,” added [Anil Gurung, Director of AG 10 Football Academy].

This international success is a testament to the rising standard of youth football in Nepal. It reflects the commitment of grassroots academies, the support from institutions like ANFA, and the dreams of young footballers across the country.

As the players return to training with renewed confidence and experience, this victory stands as a milestone in their journey—and a beacon of hope for the future of Nepali football.
